DC meter updates via Flash over the Air – secure & certified

With our new update tool for DC meters, we enable secure software updates directly in the charging station – without opening the housing and without any hardware replacement. New software versions are certified in advance and can be flexibly approved and installed by the customer. This ensures that systems remain up to date, compliant with regulations and fully operational at all times.

Thanks to state-of-the-art cryptography (SECP256R1), digital signature verification and an independent bootloader, each update is fully secured and installed only after successful verification. Faulty update processes are automatically detected and safeguarded by a restart. The implementation complies with WELMEC 7.2 and enables updates for both the metering and the application board.

Operators benefit from maximum future-proofing, reduced operating costs by eliminating the need for device replacements, and fast error correction without on-site service visits.
