AST joins ODCA!

AST joins the Open Direct Current Alliance to help drive the future of DC microgrids, smart grids and sustainable energy infrastructure worldwide.

AST has recently become an official member of the Open Direct Current Alliance (ODCA). The ODCA is an international association committed to open standards, secure interoperability and the global adoption of direct current (DC) technologies. Its core focus lies on efficient DC microgrids, intelligent grid integration, modern energy infrastructures for industry, buildings and data centers, as well as the sustainable transformation of power grids towards higher energy efficiency and reduced CO₂ emissions. This week, our team took part in the ODCA “Use Cases” working group. The event provided hands-on insights into industrial automation, energy systems and digital transformation, demonstrating how direct current grids, DC power distribution and energy management can interact seamlessly. As a new member of the ODCA, we will actively contribute to advancing direct current grids, smart grids, energy efficiency and grid-stable DC microgrids.
